In recognition of the R+D+i activities that the company has been carrying out, the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness has awarded Desmasa with the distinction, which is valid until the 31st of December, 2018.

In accordance with Spanish Royal Decree 475/2014 of the 13th of June regarding reductions in social security contributions for researchers, this distinction recognises Desmasa as an S&ME with intensive R+D+i activity and as such allows the company to apply a reduction of 40 per cent in company social security contributions for common contingencies relating to research personnel included in contribution groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the General Social Security System who, on an exclusive basis, dedicate the entirety of their working hours to R+D+i. This reduction is fully compatible with the application of the deduction regime for research, development and technological innovation activities, making it a significant competitive advantage.

In addition to representing official recognition of the R+D+i activities carried out in Desmasa, the distinction constitutes a further incentive to continue carrying out these activities and fulfilling our mission statement as without R+D+i we would not be able to offer our customers innovative technological solutions tailor-made to their particular needs. R+D+I is a fundamental part of our everyday operation that allows us to stand out in the global market and for this reason we shall continue to champion it.
